We offer multiple open access pathways to accommodate the needs of authors, institutions, and funders across disciplines and publication formats.
What Is Open Access?
Open access refers to the free, immediate, online availability of scholarly research, allowing readers to read, download, share, and reuse content without financial, legal, or technical barriers.
Veridion Press supports open access models aligned with internationally recognized standards, including those promoted by funders, institutions, and global research initiatives.
Open Access Models at Veridion Press
1. Gold Open Access
Under the Gold Open Access model:
- Articles or chapters are freely available immediately upon publication
- Content is published under a Creative Commons license
- An Article Processing Charge (APC) may apply
This model is commonly used for:
- Fully open access journals
- Open access books or book chapters
- Funded research outputs

2. Hybrid Open Access
In Hybrid Open Access journals:
- Journals operate on a subscription model
- Authors may choose to make individual articles open access
- APCs apply only to authors selecting open access
This option allows authors to comply with funder mandates while publishing in established subscription journals.
3. Green Open Access (Self-Archiving)
Veridion Press supports Green Open Access, allowing authors to archive versions of their work in repositories.
Authors may deposit:
- Accepted Author Manuscripts (AAM)
- Published versions (where license permits)
Permitted repositories include:
- Institutional repositories
- Subject-based repositories
- Non-commercial scholarly platforms
Proper attribution and publisher acknowledgment are required.
Open Access Licensing
Open access content published by Veridion Press is licensed using Creative Commons (CC) licenses, selected by the author at the time of publication.

The chosen license is clearly displayed with the published work.
