Author Ownership of Copyright
Unless otherwise stated, authors retain copyright in their work published with Veridion Press.
By publishing with Veridion Press, authors grant the publisher a non-exclusive license to:
- Publish, reproduce, and distribute the work
- Identify Veridion Press as the original publisher
- Archive and preserve the work in digital repositories
- Promote the work for scholarly and academic purposes
Authors remain free to reuse their work in accordance with the selected license.
Licensing Options
Veridion Press supports standardized, internationally recognized licensing frameworks, primarily through Creative Commons (CC) licenses.
Commonly Used Licenses
CC BY (Attribution)
- Allows redistribution, adaptation, and commercial use
- Requires appropriate credit to the author and source
- Recommended by many research funders
CC BY-NC (Attribution–NonCommercial)
- Allows reuse and adaptation for non-commercial purposes
- Commercial reuse requires additional permission
CC BY-NC-ND (Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives)
- Allows sharing without modification

License Selection
- License selection is made after acceptance
- Some journals or funding mandates may require specific licenses
- Authors should verify funder open access requirements before selection
Veridion Press does not impose a license that conflicts with legitimate funder or institutional mandates.
Author Reuse Rights
Authors may, without prior permission:
- Share the published version on personal websites
- Deposit the work in institutional or subject repositories
- Use the work for teaching, presentations, or academic lectures
- Reuse content in future books, theses, or collected works (with citation)
Proper citation of the original publication is required.
Self-Archiving & Repository Use
Veridion Press supports green open access and responsible self-archiving.
Authors may deposit:
- Accepted manuscripts (AAM)
- Published versions (where license permits)
in:
- Institutional repositories
- Subject-specific repositories
- Non-commercial academic platforms
Repository metadata must acknowledge Veridion Press as the publisher.
Third-Party Content
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any third-party material (e.g., images, tables, figures) not covered by fair use or open licenses.
Documentation of permissions must be provided prior to publication.
Attribution & Citation Requirements
All reuse of published material must include:
- Author name(s)
- Title of the work
- Journal or book title
- Publisher (Veridion Press)
- DOI or permanent link (where available)
Ethical & Policy Alignment
Veridion Press aligns its author rights and licensing practices with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Text and Data Mining

Changes to Licensing Post-Publication
License changes after publication are generally not permitted, except where required by law or funder mandate.
